I have always have a little trouble making new friends. But when I actually make them, I DO make them (and I have also a gift to lose them but that’s not the topic now).
I have made a new friend, a new real friend. I met her just weeks ago, she creates beautiful rings and I love beautiful rings, there was a fair and she was taking care of her stand. A little boy asked her “why do you make all this?” She said “well, you know? I quit smoking, so…” And that was it. I turned to her (and I turned to me) and I decided I wanted to meet her. I went home with her number and I left her with mine.
She used to be a professor (although one never stops being one), she makes earrings and rings but specially, she makes a good friend herself. We’ve been meeting for a couple of fridays and I seriously can see myself doing so for quite some time. We have tea, we talk, we work, we talk, we laugh, we share, we talk.
Yesterday we exchanged what we write. Yes, my friend also writes. “Stay warm”, she says without knowing all the reads I can do to her phrase.
