feminist work

Making people uncomfortable was feminism’s whole point. In order for a person, or a society, to make drastic changes, there has to be a mentor or emotional cataclysm. One has to feel strongly, the need for change before change will willingly be made. And a feminism where everyone is comfortable is a feminism where everyone is working for their own self-interest, rather than the interest of the whole. So, while feminism has become fashionable, the actual feminist work of creating a more equal society is as unfashionable as it has ever been.
